This is one sweet Corvette! This 1981 C3 body Corvette is very fast, runs perfect and looks great. The engine sounds very tough (and it is!) very tasty thanks to the Hooker headers but not overly loud. Everything works perfect! You can drive this vette all day long in traffic (with the air on) and it runs cool. The AC and heater work very well. The power windows are not slow or loose, they work like they are supposed to. The stereo system sounds great and the interior is new, comfortable and looks excellent. The mirrored T-tops are sharp and have their own GM Fisher body labeled storage bags when not in use. This car is practically brand new top to bottom. See list of new or upgraded parts below. Long trips are a pleasure in this Corvette. The speedometer has been brought up to date (140 mph instead of the standard 85mph) and all of the gauges work, even the clock! The Cruise Control is rock solid. The suspension is solid but not bone jarring. Yes this is a very nice machine! This car handles excellent in the city or on the highway. It drives down the road straight and true at any speed with no vibration or pulling. The entire car was re-stored at just over 108k miles to better than original. With the exception of paint, this vette is just about perfect. The black metallic paint is good but has a couple of chips. The wheels are the original vette alloy in very good condition. You have to be within a couple of feet to see the flaws. Most people don't see them unless you point them out. If you're looking for a show stopper, this one is pretty close Below is some of the work that has been done on this vette: Engine: Original 350 block bored .030 over--Scat crank and rods-- sealed power moly coated pistons, rings and bearings. Edelbrock aluminum performer heads, intake ,water pump, fuel pump, cam, lifters and roller tipped rockers-- double roller timing chain and gears. Edelbrock tall valve covers and air filter housing, K&N filter, Hooker heat coated headers, Holley 670 street avenger carb w/vacuum secondarys. Complete MSD ignition, control box, distributor and plug wires. Transmission: 700r4 4-speed automatic w/stage 1 shift kit w/corvette servos-- 2000 rpm stall converter. Rear-end & Suspension: Dana 44-- new 3.55 gears-- heavy duty clutch packs-- new spider gears-- new bearings-- new axle shafts and seals-- rebuilt axle drive shafts w/u-joints-- trailing arms rebuilt-- new bearings, seals & axles . Stainless steel shims and emergency brakes. New rear stabilizer bar. Single leaf composite rear spring, Koni adjustable race shocks, rebuilt drive shaft w/new u-joints. All the rubber bushings were replaced with polyurethane--also motor and trans mounts are polyurethane. New ball joints, tie-rod ends a-frame bushings front springs and 530 lb rated front shocks. Front wheel bearings and seals all replaced. New steering box and power assist power steering pump. Misc. New 4-core radiator, AC system (compressor lines, condenser coil, fan, heater core and lines). AC filled with r-12. New wiper, switch, motor and washer pump. New windshield, cruise control, headlight actuators, relay switches and light switch. Brakes: 4 new calipers, 4 new rotors, new master cylinder, new brake power booster, Corvette original wheels and Cooper Cobra tires w/new spare tire. Interior: New dash, door panels, arm rests, seats and sun visors. New carpet, molding and trim pieces. Custom floor mats and back mat. New tool and battery box doors and new weather stripping on doors windows and t-tops. Mirrored glass t- tops. new console and gauge panels. New AC controller and steering wheel. 140 mph speedometer, Eclipse stereo and CD player w/400 watt amp, 4 speakers and 10 inch woofer! T-top bags and Clifford alarm system.
